The season is moving along quickly. We have had several good fall rains happen and this has quickened the fall of the leaves. The local deer and Elk are moving into camp to get away from the hunting pressure in the Meadows Valley area. My recent stroll through the back 20 revealed a dozen elk beds a few yards inside the thorn brush screen. The elderberry bushes were picked clean by the local bear, no jelly for me this year. I need to plant several buckets of heirloom apples back here and work on an orchard for cider making.
